The Short Version

What We Collect

If You Just Browse

Nothing. We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any tracking scripts. We don't know who you are, where you came from, or what you click on.

If You Sign the Pledge

We collect:

• Your name (or pseudonym—we don't verify)
• Your signature (drawn on the canvas)
• Which platforms you're quitting
• Your reasons for quitting (optional)
• Timestamp of when you signed

This data is stored securely and used only to display pledge counts and, if you consent, show your declaration publicly.

If You Sign Up for Updates

We collect your email address. That's it. We'll only email you about SignOff.Social. We never share your email. You can unsubscribe anytime.

What We Don't Do

• Track your browsing behavior
• Build profiles about you
• Sell or share your data with anyone
• Use retargeting or remarketing
• Embed social media tracking pixels
• Use fingerprinting or any sneaky identification

Cookies

We use minimal, functional cookies only—things like remembering if you've already signed the pledge so we don't show you the form again. No tracking cookies. No third-party cookies. No cookie consent popups because we have nothing to confess.

Data Storage

Your data is stored on secure servers (Supabase) with encryption at rest and in transit. We retain pledge data indefinitely unless you request deletion. Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe.

Your Rights

You can:

• Request a copy of any data we have about you
• Request deletion of your data
• Unsubscribe from emails at any time
• Ask us anything about how we handle data

Just email us. We'll respond within 48 hours.

Third Parties

We use:

• Vercel — Hosts our website. They may collect basic server logs (IP addresses, timestamps). See their privacy policy.
• Supabase — Stores pledge data and emails. See their privacy policy.

We don't use Google, Facebook, or any ad-tech services.

Children

This site is for everyone who wants to quit social media. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you're a parent and believe your child has submitted data, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. We won't suddenly start tracking you—that would defeat the entire purpose of this project.
